Fall/Winter Gardening
I think this is my very favorite class to teach! Fall is my very favorite time to garden! In this class we talk about how to put your garden beds to rest as well as how to prep them for fall planting, soil care, soil amendments, pest control, how to plan your garden, my favorite fall varieties and more!
2 hour class.
Soil Care
The best gardening tip anyone can ever give you is to feed the soil, not the plants. A thriving garden = thriving soil! So many, if not MOST problems in a garden can be solved on the soil level. This class is for those who want to dive deep down the rabbit hole of soil care. We talk about soil amendments, crop rotation, cover crops, mulch, micro and macro nutrients for your soil and how to prep your garden beds for the most success! I am a soil nerd and I LOVE teaching this class!
2 hour class.
Spring/Summer Gardening
In this class we talk all about how to set your garden up for success all spring and summer long! We talk about evaluating your garden space, making a plan, soil care for the summer, mulch, micro and macro nutrients, and my tried and true favorites for spring and summer gardening. More than anything, we cover how to eat fresh from your garden all spring and summer long and how to reduce your grocery bill in your own backyard!
2 hour class.
Herb Gardening
I always say that herb gardening is the gateway drug of the vegetable gardening world. Once you start, you get hooked! One of the easiest ways to elevate the flavor in your kitchen is to start growing your own herbs. The great thing about growing herbs is that is can be done in a small space, on your apartment balcony, in pots on your patio or even in a sunny window. In this class we cover annual and perennial herb varieties, herb garden maintenance, preserving herbs and some of my favorite ways to use herbs in the kitchen!
2 hour class.
Growing a Salad Garden
Sometime around October I stop buying lettuce until sometime in April. I grocery shop my for my salads in my own backyard for 6 whole months! And our family eats a lot of salad all winter! But salads are not just based on lettuce- summer salads can be just as delicious! In this class we talk all about how you can grow a salad garden all year long!
